On Thursday, October 22, we hosted a conversation with leading K-12 education researchers exploring the latest evidence on what makes tutoring most effective, which emerging approaches show the greatest promise, and how schools can maximize the return on their tutoring investments.
Panelists discussed new research on tutoring models, cost-effectiveness, and implementation, as well as what the evidence reveals about the role technology—and increasingly AI—may play in expanding access to personalized support. The discussion, moderated by senior research and impact officer Meghan McCormick, separated evidence on the newest interventions from hype, highlighted unanswered questions that researchers are working to address, and offered practical insights for education leaders.
