Program Description:

The Canopy Tutoring Program provides high-impact academic support in literacy and math for K–12 students across Louisiana. Designed to complement what students are learning in the classroom, the program uses research-based instructional strategies and high-quality curriculum aligned with state standards. Students work in small groups or one-on-one with trained Louisiana educators who deliver targeted instruction based on each learner’s needs. Sessions focus on building strong foundational skills—in reading and math—while reinforcing classroom learning. Tutors use regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction so that students continue making measurable academic gains. The program partners with schools, districts, and families to ensure students receive consistent, personalized support. Reading instruction is grounded in the Science of Reading, while math instruction uses high-quality materials such as Eureka Math to strengthen conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. Through structured sessions, trained educators, and data-driven progress monitoring, Canopy Tutoring helps students build confidence, strengthen core academic skills, and achieve long-term success in school.
