The EmpowerEd Program

The EmpowerEd program, with its name implying empowerment through education, is an online, free, tutoring program with the goal of diminishing the gaps in opportunity within education throughout the United States. By providing free, 1-1 tutoring through LearnToBe, low-income, homeless, or foster students are provided the chance to grow and pursue the goals they hope to one day conquer. Educational Inequality has remained a serious issue within the United States, existing even before the nation’s establishment, but EmpowerEd feels that such a fact should never discourage individuals from pursuing its resolution. By providing opportunities to students in need, EmpowerEd is fighting for an end to educational inequality. We believe that an education provides the ability to learn and improve, which is perhaps the most fundamental and necessary right that can—and should—be guaranteed to humanity.
