Program Overview

Mission

iEducate is a 501c3 organization that is working to modernize the classroom model, hiring currently enrolled college students to work as tutors alongside teachers in underserved elementary schools. Our mission is twofold: help improve student achievement and strengthening teacher workforce development. Specifically, our mission is to "educate today's children while elevating tomorrow's teachers.'

Program Description

iEducate partners with local Houston area schools and districts to provide High Impact Tutoring on Title 1 campuses leveraging college students as tutors. Our Programs team works closely with school leadership and staff to implement our Tier I (classroom) and Tier II (pullout) models in alignment with High Impact Tutoring, as well as provide quality, ongoing instructional coaching to tutors through observation debriefs and regular professional development. Tutors are trained to internalize and implement district-approved, high quality instructional materials in collaboration with school staff. Tutoring is in-person and occurs in the school setting during school hours.
