Kids First Education
At Kids First Education, our tutoring mission is to place kids first in every aspect of teaching and learning by delivering high-dosage, research-based tutoring that accelerates achievement and closes learning gaps. We partner with schools and districts to embed small-group or one-on-one tutoring sessions directly within the school day, ensuring instruction is aligned with Tier I curriculum, state standards, and classroom pacing.
Our trained, certified educators and instructional coaches use proven strategies grounded in the science of reading and high-quality math practices, focusing on foundational literacy and numeracy skills to build long-term academic success. Through weekly progress monitoring, real-time instructional adjustments, and a data-to-instruction model, we provide personalized learning experiences that respond to each student’s needs.
Family and community engagement are central to our approach. We equip families with accessible tools, regular updates, and collaborative events to ensure every child’s progress is supported both at school and at home.
Above all, Kids First Education’s tutoring mission is to empower educators, engage families, and inspire students—creating equitable opportunities for all learners to thrive, succeed, and realize their limitless potential.
Kids First Education delivers high-dosage, research-based tutoring designed to accelerate student achievement, close learning gaps, and align seamlessly with school instruction. Serving districts across the Southeast, our program is built around small-group (1:4) or one-on-one sessions, conducted at least three times per week for 30–60 minutes, and embedded within the school day. This ensures instruction supports core classroom learning rather than functioning as an isolated add-on.
Key Features and Instructional Approach
• Aligned with Standards and Tier I Curriculum: Tutors collaborate with teachers and district leaders to reinforce pacing guides, anchor tasks, and grade-level standards using high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) and Kids First-developed resources for reading and math.
• Data-Driven Instruction: Tutors employ a data-to-instruction model, using weekly formative assessments, benchmark data, and session logs to monitor student progress, identify gaps, and adjust instruction in real time.
• Qualified Educators: All tutors are current or retired certified teachers trained in evidence-based strategies and ongoing professional learning. Oversight is provided by Head Coaches, Content Managers, and Data Specialists who review session quality, analyze performance trends, and offer targeted feedback.
