Program Overview

Mission

Redwood Literacy exists so that all students with literacy struggles can access their dreams. By cultivating hope and restoring confidence, we help students dramatically improve their literacy skills regardless of socio-economic background or learning differences.

Program Description

Redwood Literacy is a data-responsive organization that delivers evidence-based instruction in reading, writing, and math to help students thrive academically, no matter their socioeconomic backgrounds or learning profiles. We specialize in serving students with dyslexia, language-based learning differences, and those performing below grade level. Our certified special education teachers provide high-impact, virtual tutoring to both private pay families, where instruction takes place outside of school hours, as well as through our school partnership model, where virtual services take place during the school day at no cost to the families. With the school partnership model, our instructors are equipped to fulfill IEP minutes and offer case management support. In partnership with school districts, we come alongside Tier II and Tier III students by offering explicit, targeted interventions designed to close learning gaps and promote lasting academic success.
