Program Overview
Mission
SLD Read's mission is three-fold:
- We provide 1:1 interventions to students who are more than 6 months behind in reading, writing and spelling.
- We train educators in providing reading instruction through a structured literacy lens.
- We advocate to reduce the stigma of disability in the community.
Program Description
1:1 intervention supports are provided to students at least twice a week with one hour sessions each time. Services can be provided in person or online. Materials are rooted in structured literacy and the Orton-Gillingham approach.
