Study Smart Tutors implements a High-Impact Tutoring (HIT) program designed to accelerate student learning and enhance academic outcomes through supplemental instruction of specific standards-based skills and concepts across all grade levels. The program offers personalized, intensive tutoring in small groups or one-on-one settings.

Our approach is grounded in extensive research that underscores the efficacy of high-impact tutoring, including the key elements of frequent and consistent sessions, data-driven instruction, and strong tutor-student relationships, all tailored to meet the specific needs of each student and school.

Our program integrates research-backed components by ensuring each tutoring session lasts a minimum of 30-45 minutes and occurs at least a minimum of three (3) times a week, adhering to research that highlights the importance of frequent, consistent tutoring for measurable impact and effective learning. All tutoring options are available before/during/after school in a push-in or pull-out model, small group (1:4 ratio) or 1:1. We employ formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and customize tutoring sessions. Instructional content is aligned with Common Core State Standards (CCSS), Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and/or state academic frameworks to ensure consistency with classroom learning goals. The program places a strong emphasis on building trust and motivation between tutors and students, which is essential for both academic and personal development.

Study Smart Tutors is dedicated to maintaining high standards in all aspects of its tutoring program. The company’s tutors are highly qualified, extensively trained, and continuously supported to ensure they deliver the highest quality instruction. Tutors are recruited from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, including credentialed teachers, education majors, and experienced paraprofessionals. Training topics include trauma-informed instruction, strategies for English learners, differentiation, and cultural responsiveness. Our approach includes a thorough onboarding process, ongoing professional development, and regular performance evaluations to maintain the effectiveness and integrity of the tutoring services provided.

Study Smart Tutors offers in-person, virtual, or hybrid with a live instructor tutoring model across all K-12 grade levels to support the school district’s focus on closing the learning gaps in a variety of subjects including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Reading, and other subjects with students that are underperforming and could utilize the support of high-impact tutoring. Schools may choose a single model/delivery or combine them as necessary with the ability to modify or extend the structure based on the needs of the district and individual schools. 

Each session will emphasize tutor and student relationships. The students work with the same tutor each session, allowing for consistency in approach, motivation, and accountability for students to thrive.
