Module/ Session Description
Tutors build an understanding of cognitive load theory and how intentional modeling and think-alouds support learning. Tutors learn the steps of an effective model and how to think aloud and then practice and rehearse these skills. This training is part of the larger training: HQIM Tutoring Modules Overview. Specific content on the topic is on pages 9 and 10.
