If planning hasn’t started, this Pre-Assessment can help build consensus about the steps needed to plan a High-Impact Tutoring program and ensure that your district’s stakeholders are willing and able to implement it successfully.

Who is the intended audience for the Playbook?

This Playbook is designed for school district staff interested in implementing High-Impact Tutoring in their districts. While district staff members are the primary audience, state educational officials and school administrators will also be able to leverage many of the resources in the Playbook.

How was the Playbook designed?

No-cost Saga Summer Institute August 4-5 for interested states and districts to learn from us about what they need to know to stand up tutoring programs

As states, districts, and schools start to plan interventions and support for students for the ‘21-’22 school year, we are offering a 4-hour workshop to support state and district leadership teams in launching tutoring programs. We will work to provide support for leaders to develop the parameters around program design, human capital and communication, and share our resources and recommendations developed over 17 years in regards to professional development, curriculum and measurements of success. TutorMe

TutorMe provides 24/7 high-impact online tutoring to students ranging from kindergarten through graduate school. The Halifax Helpers

The Halifax Helpers offers three free, virtual tutoring programs. The first is an Academic stream that supports students in all school subjects. The second is our EAL program that provides 1-on-1 English tutoring to language learners. The third is an EAL conversation group which provides a fun an dynamic environment for students to practice conversational English.

TutorX

TutorX is a free tutoring exchange platform created for students, by students. Tutees can sign up for tutoring sessions through our website with qualified student tutors in a variety of subjects: math, English, computer science, test prep, Spanish, Latin, science, and more. Tutoring sessions are held through Zoom and can last between 45 minutes and 1 hour.

PeerSquared

PeerSquared helps those serving K-12 students build peer tutoring programs, so all their students can have accessible, effective, and relatable academic support for better grades and engagement. Unlike other companies serving tutoring needs, we deliver a comprehensive solution by helping our partners train and manage the program's high school tutors, working with all stakeholders to increase utilization, and deploying a tutoring platform to facilitate 1-on-1 tutoring sessions in-person or virtually.
