Dr. Amanda Neitzel (Inns), PhD, is an Associate Research Professor at the Johns Hopkins University Center for Research and Reform in Education (CRRE), where she serves as Deputy Director of Evidence and is deeply committed to the dissemination of education research. Her expertise spans school-based health interventions, literacy development, quantitative research methods, meta-analysis, and implementation science. Among her notable work are multiple systematic reviews of elementary literacy and programs for struggling readers, as well as evaluations of school-based vision programs. Alongside her colleagues, Dr. Neitzel has made important contributions to the evidence base on virtual tutoring. Before earning her PhD, Amanda was an elementary school teacher in a public school and served in the Peace Corps, experiences that inform her practical understanding of educational settings.
