Monica P. Bhatt is a Senior Research Director for the University of Chicago Education Lab, which focuses on designing, testing and scaling high impact educational interventions in partnership with the public sector. In this role, Dr. Bhatt has served as the principal investigator on a number of applied research studies focused on high dosage tutoring. She leads the Personalized Learning Initiative, a multi-year, multi-site randomized controlled trial of over 30,000 students designed to understand which tutoring interventions work best for which students in which contexts. Her work has been published in high impact journals as well as being cited in local, trade and national media outlets. She is a former Fulbright Scholar and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
