We aim to bridge the gap in education caused by underlying socioeconomic issues. Our program offers general subject tutoring (English, Maths, Computer Science, History) and SAT/PSAT/ACT enhancement taught by top-scoring students. We offer group sessions and one-to-one classes on a weekly basis and an on-demand Q&A service for all school topics.

EduTutorVA provides high-impact virtual reading and math tutoring for students in grades 3–8 at high-needs schools. Tutoring takes place during the school day, with students receiving 40–60 hours of instruction each year in groups of two to three with the same tutor. Tutor Partners provides high-impact tutoring in math and literacy for students in grades Pre-K through 12. We partner with districts, schools, families and nonprofits to support students with learning gaps, special needs and learning differences, as well as English language learners.

As dean of Bowling Green State University’s College of Education in Ohio, Dawn Shinew has watched aspiring teachers struggle to make ends meet.

Often, they can’t afford to work as unpaid student-teachers in schools while paying tuition and the usual costs of living. It’s doubly discouraging, Shinew said, because few will earn a high salary after they graduate and enter the teaching profession.

Many districts sought to provide students with high-impact tutoring in response to pandemic-induced learning needs. Some started earlier than others, and we aimed to learn from the experiences of the early adopters to help inform a smoother implementation among those beginning the process later. Big Sky Tutoring is a local tutoring service based in Bozeman, Montana. We serve K-12 students by providing additional, personalized instruction to supplement their instruction at school. For the past 10 years Bay Area Tutoring Association has been providing school day, after school, weekend and evening tutoring programs - both online and on premise.
